Perth Art Salon, North Inch Community Campus, 23 May 2013

THIS was the fifth and last of PVAF's current series of Art Salons that have been held throughout Perth and Kinross during 2012 and 2013.

The salons have provided artists with an opportunity to meet other local artists and to discuss a range of topics of common interest, especially to those working in their local area.

The invited speaker for the evening was David Faithfull, artist, printmaker, artists' book publisher, lecturer and curator. David talked about his work as an artist and the variety of work in which he is involved. After his talk he showed some of his work that included drawings, prints, artists' books and constructions. Members were very interested in the work and much discussion ensued. This led on to critical discussion of examples of work in progress that members had brought along, with David leading the discussion.

Following this, Helen O'Brien from PKC's Arts Development Service told the members about forthcoming events and opportunities within Perth and Kinross and invited members to give information about anything of local interest to artists.
