This first event was held at Battleby HQ of SNH for one day only.
The speakers were Tokio & Yoshiko Maruyama from Japan,
Klavs Weiss Director ET4U gallery Denmark, Susan Sloan from Bournemouth,
Veer North an artist group from shetland, The Felters Guild,
Video monographs of artists practice in remote Scottish locations included
Judith McLauchlan and Caroline Deer from Skye and Mary Rosegren from Ballachulish.
The Event was attended by a number of international artists from Japan, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia and Netherlands.

Harald Melrose Turek presented publications from A Shoal of Mackerel Press.
The G8 artists project was opened for participation with a DVD being produced in 2006.
With over 100 participants and glorious weather this was an auspicious start for an ambitious networking,
inspiration and information project.
